God of Wonders

On Friday we had the opportunity to go on a safari in Ruaha National Park. It was a great close out to our time in Tanzania. Our house father, Ernest, is a safari guide so we had an extra special tour through the park! We saw a bit of everything-- a few highlights being the lions, giraffes, elephants and buffalo. About half way through the day another guide informed Ernest where the buffalo were so we did a little off roading and found them for ourselves. There were about 100 of them hanging out; we definitely disrupted their peace by approaching them. They were making noises and looking at us like they wanted to take our van-- a bit frightening but fun to experience. :)

On our way back to Iringa, we had a conversation about moments that stood out to us throughout the day. We both couldn't (and still can't!) stop thinking about creation; its beauty and its ability to work perfectly together. When you look at each individual animal or each individual tree- they are ALL different but they each serve a purpose in this world to allow something else to live.

Creation and nature was given to us as a gift-- what we do with it matters! Get outside today and take a moment to notice the beauty of the trees, the flowers, or different animals. These can be so easily taken for granted but our challenge today is to take a moment to appreciate them for their role in this creation and their beauty.

We're currently driving from Iringa back to Dar Es Saalam as we'll fly out tomorrow morning to begin our mission in South Africa. Leaving Tanzania and the relationships we've created here will be very difficult but we're also very excited for this second journey. Thank you all for your prayers and love-- we are very grateful!

With Love,
Ty + Michelle

Our means of transportation for the day.

Here's a picture of a sunrise-- we actually saw a sunrise, sunset and moon rise all one day. Very beautiful!

Our group doing "jump shot"-- there were hippos and crocodiles behind us. The second we landed on the ground we heard the hippos get up and move around-- it sounded like they were coming right for us! I think we woke them for their morning nap. :)

Lions are back there!

These are the Buffalo we talked about above-- not too happy we were there!

Beautiful sunset over the park.

Can't beat this sunset-- we like the company too. :)
